- The husband heard nothing after – “You’re late.”
- Most wives have noticed that their husbands are
computers.
- After a few seconds – the screen saver kicks in
- When there is information overload – it locks up and
must be rebooted
- The wife realizes she is living with a computer.
- He is always telling her that she is a cell phone.
- He comes home and she starts talking – everything that
happened that day
- Cell phones can go off unexpectedly, inopportune
moments
- Wives just keep calling until they get an answer.
- Men are computers; Women are cell phones!
Different Wiring!

- Men and women are wired differently.
- Both have the ability to communicate – but in different
ways.
- Computer – one way – send a message
- Cell phones – two way – talk and listen at the same
time

gets a busy signal (actually the computer is in sleep mode)
Cell Phones and Computers
- They have much in common.

- Now cell phones can send and receive email from
computers
Communication
- Man asked a marriage counselor if they really needed to
learn to communicate. Counselor asked the man, “What is your wife’s favorite
flower?” He said, “Pillsbury – All Purpose.”

The need for communication

The prerequisites to communication
- Proper attitude – love – 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
- Don’t make assumptions
- Don’t make gossip the basis of communication
- Do not assume you know what the other is thinking
- Stay pure in speech – Ephesians 4:29
- Control the anger – Ephesians 4:26
- Keep your arms down
- Keep the voice calm
The rules of communication
- There is a right time and a wrong time to communicate

- Be slow to speak – James 1:19
- We should speak calmly – Proverbs 15:1-2
- Speak appropriately without distortion of the truth
