a.    Blasphemy – attack on the character of God

b.    Irreverence – man upstairs, the big guy,

c.    Cursing – Matthew 26:74

d.    Profanity – OMG, My God

2.    With our actions

a.    Hypocrisy

b.    Ungodly lifestyle

c.    Use God for use purpose – 2 Samuel 15:7

The consequence of misusing God’s name

1.    Judgment – Exodus 20:7

How should we use God’s name?

1.    Hallow – awe, fear, respect – Matthew 6:9

2.    Praise – Psalm 100:4

3.    Respect

a.    Lord, Master, Creator

b.    Savior, King of Kings

c.    We give honor to a judge

d.    More so – give honor to Deity

e.    Leviticus 22:1-2

4.    Without shame
