1. Method

   1. Holy Spirit may work directly OR indirectly

      1. Direct = the miracles done by Him or as he empowers others

      2. Miracle is the direct intervention of God

      3. Indirect = Spirit working within the natural laws

   2. How does the Holy Spirit dwell in the Christian?

      1. God dwells in us 1 John 4:12-13; 24; 2 Corinthians 6:16

      2. Christ dwells in us Colossians 1:27;John 14:21-23; John 6:56

      3. Holy Spirit dwells in us 2 Timothy 1:14

      4. God dwells by faith 1 John 4:16

      5. Christ dwells by faith Ephesians 3:17

      6. Holy Spirit dwells by faith Galatians 3:2

      7. Think of a volume knob on your radio – up or down, high or low, loud or soft

      8. Our faith is the control – strong or weak, alive or dead, active or inactive

2. Results of the Indwelling

   1. Led by the Spirit – Romans 8:14

   2. Put deeds of flesh to death – Romans 8:13

   3. Bears witness – Romans 8:16

   4. Walk in the Spirit – Galatians 5:16

   5. Sanctifies – Romans 15:16

   6. Produces Christians – Galatians 5:22-23
