2.    Symbol of freedom we enjoy as a nation

3.    Christians also enjoy freedom

Freedom from slavery of sin

1.    Revelation 1:5b-6

4.    It may mean mockery, persecution, hardship

Freedom to sin

1.    The same freedom we have from sin allows us to sin

2.    We can choose to obey or not obey

3.    It may mean suffer the consequences

a.    Consequences in this life

b.    Eternal consequences

Freedom to forget

1.    We forget what July 4 means as Americans

2.    We forget what salvation means as Christians

3.    We forget how we depend on God

Freedom from bondage

1.    Galatians 5:1

Freedom isn’t free

1.    USA freedom is at the cost of many lives, courage, suffering

2.    Freedom in Christ cost Him his life
