1 Corinthians 12:13

1. Authority – By one Spirit

   1. This is NOT HS Baptism

      1. Promise – not a command

      2. Administered by Christian

      3. Limited to the apostles

      4. Purpose was to confirm the Word

2. Action – we are all baptized

   1. This baptism is commanded

   2. Is a burial in water

   3. For the remission of sins

   4. Puts one into Christ

   5. Added to the church

3. Object – into one body

   1. 1 Corinthians 12:20 many members, but one body

   2. Ephesians 1:22-23

   3. Colossians 1:18, 24

4. Extent – Jew or Greek (Gentile), bond or free

   1. Mark 16:15 every creature

   2. Matthew 28:19 all nations

5. Blessing – drink into one Spirit

   1. 2 Peter 1:3-4 partakers (drink) of the divine nature

1. The Spirit is the Holy Spirit

2. The baptism is not HS baptism

3. The baptism is the command from Christ (Great Commission)

4. Baptism puts one into the body (describes our relationship)

5. There is now ONE baptism – Ephesians 4:5
