When Darkness Comes

Isaiah 50:10-11

Introduction

  1. Even the faithful will fall into darkness

  2. Why?

  3. What do do when the lights go out.

  3. How does God develop our faith in the darkness?

    1. Look to the Lord, Trust Him

    2. Lean on the Lord

    3. Some things can only be seen in the dark

  4. It is better to be leaning on God in darkness than standing alone in the light

    1. Man-made light is deceptive

    2. Abraham tried to help God

    3. Moses killed an Egyptian instead of waiting on God

  5. If your sun has set, it will rise again

    1. Isaiah 50:4

    2. Psalm 30:5; 112:4
