Why Some Don't Sing Come, we that love the Lord, and let our joys be known; join in a song with sweet accord, and thus surround the throne.
We are here because we love the Lord
We partake of communion because of our love for the Lord
We sing because we love the Lord.
Let those refuse to sing who never knew our God; but children of the heavenly King may speak their joys abroad.
Some refuse to sing
Some think they must be professional singers
Make a joyful NOISE to the Lord
Some think if they show up at a worship service – that is all that matters
The hill of Zion yields a thousand sacred sweets before we reach the heavenly fields, or walk the golden streets.
There are many “sweet” things in the worship and service of God
If we are working in the field (the world)
The we can walk the streets of gold
Then let our songs abound, and every tear be dry; we're marching through Emmanuel's ground, to fairer worlds on high.
Let's sing – out loud – unashamed
Let's cry for joy
Let's cry with sadness for the lost
We are on our way to heaven
