PROPOSITION: The Bible often gives good advice for churches today.

1. We leave one week from today. I want to give you some good advice.

2. This advice is not “mine” but from the Bible.

3. Here are four short statements of good advice.

1. Stand Strong.

A. 1 Peter 5:9 resist Satan - stand strong in your faith

B. Be firm - stand up for truth - stand kind, gentle - but strong

2. Don’t Change.

A. Worship
B. Doctrine
C. Plan of salvation
D. Bible

Be ready to change methods that work better.

3. Give Yourself Fully to the Work.

A. There is much to do. All are needed to help - work together.

B. 2 Corinthians 6:1 We are workers together with God

C. Work together - cooperate - share the load

D. Igor can not do everything - help him -

4. Work will NOT be Wasted.

A. Isaiah 55:11 God’s word will not be taught in vain

B. 1 Thess. 1:3 - labor of love

C. 2 Cor. 5:9 - present or absent - keep working

D. 1 Cor. 3:5-7 - Paul and Apollos = Manly and Igor

Work together - not in competition - share the work

Now - you will need to help - support - encourage Igor

Conclusion:

Here is some good advice for the church.

We do not know the future. Will I be able to return?

How will the law be enforced?

God will take care of you - if you follow this advice.
