1. Time Machine. Great idea. Go back in time to the very beginning of the church.

2. Would you recognize it? What would they be doing?

3. Study Acts 2 with me and observe these attributes.

Some things would be very different.

Not in a building

No pews (with padding)

No central heat/AC

No electric lights, PA, etc.
 

What would you see?

A. Open to all. 5

1. All nations under heaven.

2. No ID check at the door.

B. Excitement. 6-7

1. Joy, enthusiasm.

2. Willing - not forced with arm twisting.

C. Bible preaching. 16

1. Many sermons today - little Bible

2. 2 Tim. 4:2 Preach the Word.

D. Invitations. 40

1. Opportunity is ALWAYS open.

2. Day or night. Sunday or Tuesday.

E. Worship. 42

1. Apostle's teaching.

2. Fellowship - sharing - giving.

3. Breaking of bread - communion.

4. Prayers.

F. Fellowship. 44-45

1. Believers together.

2. All things in common.

3. Sold property and shared.
