CHRISTIANS ARE STRANGE

Titus 2:11-15

I. A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO BELIEVES THE UNBELIEVABLE (Romans 10:9)

Over and over again the Bible declares that men become Christians by believing. Believing what? Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. But what does it mean to believe in Christ? To

believe in Christ about what He says concerning Himself, concerning His virgin birth, His eternal existence as Son of God and God the Son, His death for sinners, and that atoning

death as the only way of salvation, and His resurrection from the dead.

II. A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE (Matthew 17:21)

Christianity is supernatural, it enables men to do what cannot be done. It is an overstatement, of course, but it is literally true of the Christian, for all things are possible to him that believes, and a Christian does many things no one else can do.

A. HE DECIDES HIS OWN BIRTH

B. HE CHOOSES HIS OWN FATHER

C. HE SELECTS HIS OWN FAMILY

III. A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO KNOWS THE UNKNOWABLE (2 Corinthians 4:6)

There are certain things within the bounds of man's knowledge, and there are other things man cannot know apart from the revelation of God.

IV. A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO ATTAINS THE UNATTAINABLE (Romans 3:22)

The righteousness of God! Think of it! Sinful men actually attain the place of perfect righteousness because they have imputed to them the spotless perfection of God's sinless Son.

How we ought to be thrilled with the wonder and the glory of it! Accepted before God! Yet this unattainable place is something obtained by all the sons of God.

V. A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO SEES THE INVISIBLE. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Paul said, "We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal" (II Cor. 4:18).
