Matthew 5:27-28

Introduction

1. Adultery is more than the physical act.

2. With technology, many are committing adultery by long distance.

Nothing Good About Adultery

1. Adultery is destructive to families, marriages, homes, children, society

2. There is nothing good that comes from this sin.

A Problem of the Heart

1. There are many forms of adultery in the heart

2. Texting, phone sex, pornography, movies, Facebook, sending photos, etc.

3. Lust begins on the inside and eventually works its way out.

How a Godly Man Falls: 2 Samuel 11

1. Step # 1: He wasn’t where he was supposed to be. (1)

2. Step # 2: He looked at something he shouldn’t have seen. (2)

3. Step # 3: He asked a question he had no business asking. (3)

2. I Must Purposely Avoid Provoking Lust in Other People.

   1. Lascivious = my actions, words, dress or conduct produces lust in another

   2. Galatians 5:19

   3. We must cautions of our dress, actions, speech

3. I Must Purposely Choose Purity.

   1. We are losing the ability to blush.

   2. Jeremiah 6:15

   3. This decision must be made in advance.
