TITLE: Who Am I?
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
INTRODUCTION:
1. We often identify ourselves by our work, occupation – lawyer, teacher, preacher, farmer, engineer etc.
2. One of the purposes of the Bible is to help us understand who we are, where we came from, what is the purpose in life.
3. Today I want to answer the question – Who Am I?
1. I am God’s.
a. He created me Genesis 1:26-27
b. He owns me
c. I am part of His family
d. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
2. I am me.
a. I have unique DNA – Each of us - individual
b. Matthew 10:29-31
c. Each person has an individual story to tell
d. Hebrews 11:4
e. We must bear our own burdens – Galatians 6:5
f. Judgment will be individual – 2 Corinthians 5:10
g. I (and only I) am responsible for my actions.
3. I am yours.
a. Early Christians – shared all they had with each other

4. I am a servant.

Minister, deacon, servant, serve, slave, ministry – All are from the same root
word!
While “deacon” is an office in the church, the word also has a broad
application for ALL of us.
