The book of Revelation
Revelation 1:1-3
Introduction
1. We often avoid the study of this book – too difficult
2. God promises a 3-fold blessing on those who:
a. Read – public oral reading of this book
b. Hear – listens to the words being read
c. Keep – obey the commands in this book
3. In one sermon I can not cover all the details of the book of Revelation.

want to examine the purpose of this book.
Revelation – the word means:
1. To reveal, open the curtain
2. We are allowed to see what had been hidden
Stated reasons we need to study this book of the NT:
God sees their tears, pain and persecution.
Rev 7:17
Rev 21:4
Their prayers rule the world.
Rev 5:8
Rev 8:3-4
Their death is precious in His sight.
Rev 20:4
Their final victory is assured.
Rev 15:2-4
Their blood will be avenged.
Rev 6:9-11 Sixth seal is the answer - Rev 6:12-17
Christ rules forever.
Rev 5:11-14
Christ is coming again to receive His own.
Rev 22:12-17
