TITLE: The Time Has Come

TEXT: 1 Peter 4:15-17

PROPOSITION: We must not put off doing the things God has commanded and desires of us.

QUESTION: What?

KEY WORD: Renewals

1. Human beings tend to procrastinate, put off.

2. This is a time of change, transition, changing ministers.

3. Therefore, THE TIME HAS COME TO - - -

Dream Again.

Ephesians 3:20 – Exceedingly, abundantly above all you ask or think

Conceive it, Achieve it - Genesis 11:6 “nothing restrained”

See Again.

We need clear - far-sighted VISION.

    No vision – perish

See the work – task – challenge – opportunities that lie ahead.

Believe Again.

We can do all things Philippians 4:13

Mark 11:24 Ask believing - it is already yours

Love Again.

Have compassion on needy, weak, suffering.

Concern for lost and those who have gone back into the world.

Love the brethren - in local congregation.

Love the brotherhood - at large. 1 Peter 2:17

Work Again.

Matthew 9:37-38 Harvest plenteous, laborers are few

1 Corinthians 15:58 Always abounding in the work of the Lord

Give Again.

Budget; Bank loan; Plans for meetings, VBS, etc.

New minister - perhaps new ideas, areas to be involved

Renew Again.

Changing preachers is like “starting over”

You will need to train him (like you trained me)

We must often be reminded, exhorted, encouraged.

Conclusion:

  1. Begin a life as a Christian.

  2. Come back, renew, start again.
