  5. When we become too involved with the world, we do not take time to be holy.

  1. Our work

Too many jobs

Does the company OWN your soul?

Work hinders you from spiritual growth

  1. Our social life

Aid or hinder spiritual development

Hinder worship assemblies – Hinder association with Christians

  1. Our family life

Too much going on

Too much fighting, bickering – Too angry to be holy


 

Learn the admonition of this song

  1. Speak oft with thy Lord

1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Pray without ceasing

Matthew 21:22 – Whatsoever you ask, believing, ye shall receive

Take time – Prayer is not just a quick sentence on the way to work
 

  1. Abide in Him always, and feed on His word

Too many Christians do not have time for daily reading of the Bible

John 15:1-8 – Abide in the vine,

James 4:8 – Draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to you
 

  1. Make friends of God’s children; Help those who are weak

John 15:12-13 – Love one another

Galatians 6:10 – Good to all men ESP. household of faith

James 5:19-20 – If any of err – he which restores such a one
 

  1. Forgetting in nothing His blessings to seek

We must seek the blessings of God – all that we do

Worship – Give – 2 Corinthians 9:7 God loves a cheerful giver

Ephesians 1:3 – all spiritual blessing in Christ


 

Conclusion:

  1. I know that many of you are really taking time to be holy.

  2. Are you? Are you taking the time (making the investment) required to be holy?

  3. No quick fix – It will take time!
