1.     Before marriage – 1 Corinthians 7:2

2.     Not in 1^st year – Deuteronomy 24:5

3.     Not to hold the marriage together

4.     Until both agree on moral and spiritual values

5.     Until you can afford them

6.     Selfishly – something to cuddle, smile, warm and fuzzy – get a puppy

a.     Children are a long term commitment

b.     Even a St. Bernard puppy is cute, warm and fuzzy – but they grow up

HAVE KIDS WHEN:

1.     Ready to provide

a.     4 sided development – Luke 2:52

2.     Provide essential elements

a.     Example

b.     Responsibility

c.     Correction

d.     Moral compass

3.     Able to avoid

a.     Injustice

b.     Partiality

c.     Inconsistency

d.     Jealousy

4.     Keep Priorities Straight
