THE SALT SHORTAGE

Mark 9:49-50; Matthew 5:13

a.     Cut off hand, foot, eye = make the sacrifice

b.     We must cut off the things of the world

c.     Salt is good – IF – it does its job

d.     When it loses its distinctive power – worthless

e.     Salt in you = peace with others

c.     God’s Universal Law – Be Salt or Ruin

3.     The Remedy – 2 Chronicles 7:14

a.     If you:

                                                    i.     Humble

                                                   ii.     Pray

                                                 iii.     See God

                                                 iv.     Turn from wicked ways

b.     Then God will:

                                                    i.     Hear from heaven

                                                   ii.     Forgive your sins

                                                 iii.     Heal your land
