PROPOSITION: God requires all men to repent.

INTRODUCTION:

          1. "Repent" is not a common word outside of church.

          2. All must repent - alien sinners, Christians - ALL

          3. Here are six requirements of repentance.

I. A change of mind about salvation.

          A. Lost = spiritual poverty.

          B. Whole condition is dependant on God.

II. A change of mind about the purpose of life.

          A. Many think = "EAT, DRINK, AND BE MERRY"

          B. Real purpose is to glorify God    I Cor. 10:31

III. A change of mind about Sin.

          A. Sin - deceives, lures, attracts

          B. In reality - traps, snares, blinds, kills, hurts

IV. A change of mind about God.

          A. Many - atheist, agnostic, just don't care

          B. See God as - Wisdom, Light, Grace, Mercy, Truth

V. A change of mind about God's Son.

          A. Man - Hero - Teacher - Wise Man

          B. Son of God - God - Savior - Lord

VI. A change of mind about the Bible.

          A. Hear a verse of Scripture and say, "So what?"

          B. Listen to God talk to you.

Conclusion:

          Fruits of Repentance are:

          1. Confession of sins.

          2. Restitution as far as possible.

          3. Humiliation over sins committed.
