TITLE: Where are you?

TEXT: Genesis 3:7-10

PROPOSITION: We must analyze our direction and progress in life.

QUESTION: Where?

INTRODUCTION:

  1. Background of our text
  2. Rhetorical question – I know answer, need you to think about it.
  3. God knew where Adam was. Adam did not know.
  4. Through every phase of our lives we must ask the same question.

 

As a beginner

  1. You studied the Bible, learned the way of salvation.
  2. You were baptized – added to the church.
  3. Where are you?
  4. In the kingdom of God, child of God, babe in Christ, desire to grow.

 

As a participant

  1. Worship is not a spectator event.
  2. Do you read your Bible, pray, sing?
  3. Do you remember the death of Christ during communion?
  4. Do you give as you have prospered?

 

In moral living

  1. Titus 2:13 – deny ungodliness, worldly lusts – live sober, righteous, godly
  2. Actions – gossip, lying, cheating, stealing, speech
  3. Emotionally – hate, bitterness, envy, anger, covet

 

In relationship to others

  1. In your home – marriage – family
  2. In your social activity – cooperate, get along, kind, compassionate
  3. In the family of God – love each other, patient, forgiving

 

In your walk with God

  1. Are you a Christian – believe in Jesus, confess that faith, immersed
  2. Have you strayed away – attendance, morals, faith

 

Conclusion:

  1. Where are you now?
  2. Is this where you want to be?
  3. WHERE WILL YOU BE AT THE JUDGMENT?
