TITLE: Because We Were Baptized
TEXT: Romans 6:3-6

forgiveness of past sins.

- The Bible teaches Faith,
Repentance, and Baptism
- It also teaches that these are required
for salvation, remission of sins.
- But baptism causes us to do and be more
than just saved.
- BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED
We Walk in Newness of Life Romans
6:3-6
- Baptism is a new birth, a new beginning, a
new life.
- Baptized? Then you are to walk in a new
way of life.
- We (preachers) have for too long preached
the need for baptism
Without preaching the changes which it requires in our
lives.
We are United in Christ Galatians
3:26-28
- Children by faith in Jesus (26)
- Baptized into Christ (27)
- We are all one in Christ (28)
We Worship God Acts 2:42
- 3,000 were baptized (Acts 2:41)
- It is natural that they would
"continue in the teaching"

- A baptized person WILL not abandon
worshipping his God.

- We have a new focus not on earth
not material things.
- Our view is long range, eternal,
spiritual.
Baptism saves (1 Peter 3:21), but it also
changes our behavior and us.
Baptism changes who I am. It changes what I do.
It changes our life.
